Broaches profiles:
Involute Broach

One of the most common is the involute profile as its shape increases the torsional stiffness and facilitates self-centering. It also allows to obtain a high quality of the finish.

At the customer’s request and according to the characteristics of the part to be broached, the broach may have alternating final cylindrical calibrating teeth.

These allow the broach to calibrate and finish the internal and external diameters simultaneously, guaranteeing very low concentricity values.

They are generally grouped according to DIN 5480 or 5482, ANSI B92, ASA, or SAE standard.
