Straightening

Straightening always precedes the sharpening of each broach in order to concretely improve its working capacity and thus allow it to produce a greater number of parts.

It is fundamental especially in small diameter and very long broaches, as they suffer greater deformations and it is therefore easy that the lack of straightness generates waste or compromises the final quality of the broached parts.

The new broaches have a concentricity of about 0.01 mm. and straightening consists in returning the tool to its initial conditions.

This is a very delicate operation, and only if it is carried out correctly will it generate benefits in terms of precision and life.

Straightening is performed even after the application of surface coatings as these processes deform the fibers of the broach.
